Registration for INTER-NOISE 2011 is available online until 2011 August 04 (a month before the start of the Congress), or on-site during the Congress.

All fees in the above table are shown in, and are to be paid in, Japanese yen (JPY).
Registration fees for Regular Participants and Students include:- Attendance at any technical session including poster sessions;
- Printed booklet containing Abstracts of all papers and Exhibitor Directory;
- Proceedings of the Congress on a CD-ROM;
- Attendance at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and associated receptions;
- Attendance at the Exposition and at the Exhibitors’ Reception (Monday evening);
- Daily service of coffee, tea and cold beverage;
- Light meal for lunch on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Note - Students must show their valid student ID when registering at the on-site registration desk for the Congress
Registration fee of Accompanying Persons includes:- Attendance at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and at the associated receptions;
- Attendance at the Exposition and at the Exhibitors' Reception (Monday evening).
- Daily service of coffee, tea and cold beverage;
- Light meal for lunch on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Submission of Papers for the Proceedings:
An invited or contributed paper may be presented at a Congress only if a registration fee (Regular Participant or Student) has been paid for that paper before or at the deadline for the submission of the Paper manuscript for the Proceedings. Each Paper that appears in the Proceedings requires the payment of one registration fee, and one registration fee is valid only for one Paper. If the same author submits two or more singly-authored papers, the "Additional Paper" fee (see the Registration fee table above) shall be paid for each additional paper submitted in addition to the author's registration fee that applies to the first paper. Note that the Additional Paper rule is applied only for singly-authored papers and not applied for multiple-authored papers.
Payment method
Only credit cards issued by VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Diners, or JCB are acceptable for online payment of registration fees. If another method of payment is preferred, please contact the Registration Secretariat for guidance. If payment is to be made by bank wire transfer or similar means, the registrant is required to pay the wire-transfer fee. All payments of registration fees must be in Japanese yen and all currency conversion fees, if any, shall be paid by the registrants. Payments by check cannot be accepted.
Cancellation & refund policies
Cancellation policy for participants submitting a paper for publication:
No refunds of registration fees will be given on and after 2011 June 08. Prior to 2011 June 08, all refunds will be subject to a 20% handling fee.
Cancellation policy for participants not submitting a paper:
No refunds of registration fees will be given on and after 2011 July 01. Prior to 2011 July 01, all refunds will be subject to a 20% handling fee.
Refund policy:
Refunds in the currency of the country of the registrant will be paid within a month after the close of the Congress and will be subject to the currency-conversion rate that is prevailing at the time the refund is issued. Refunds will be issued as credit-card refunds to the same credit card as was used to pay the registration fee. Refunds by bank wire transfer will be subject to the applicable currency-conversion charge as well as the 20% handling fee and a bank wire-transfer fee.
Passport and visa requirements
A valid passport is required for entry into Japan. The Japanese Embassy or Consulate in your home country will be able to provide specific details about any entry visa requirements and applications. Depending on the country, visa applications can take up to three to four months to be processed. It is therefore recommended that participants contact their local Japanese Consular Offices to determine whether or not a visa is required.

Please fill in and send the "VISA INFORMATION FORM" (Word, PDF) to the Registration Secretariat for INTER-NOISE 2011 by 2011 July 29. Please note that the Registration Secretariat cannot prepare visa documents without advance notification and without confirmation of registration and payment.
Step-by-step instructions for online registration
- Visit the Registration website: an external website managed by the JTB Western Japan Corporation, an official partner of the INTER-NOISE 2011 Organizing committee.
- As illustrated below, click the "ID Application" button in the top-left corner on the screen. Follow the instructions to obtain a log-in ID. Make a record of this ID and your password after it is issued.
The registrant is to provide the following items:
- With or without accompanying person(s);
- Desired log-in ID (6 to 50 alphanumeric characters);
- Password (6 to 20 alphanumeric characters);
- Name;
- Address for postal mail;
- Telephone number including country code;
- E-mail address;
- Affiliation name;
- Name(s) of accompanying person(s).
- When your log-in ID is issued successfully, your "My Page" will be generated by the system and a confirmation e-mail will be sent automatically to the registered e-mail address. Note that the registration for the INTER-NOISE Congress is not completed yet at this step. To proceed, as shown below, click the "New/Additional Application" button in the "Registration" field, and follow the instructions on the screen.
Required items to be selected:
- Regular Participant, Student, or Accompanying Person;
- Banquet attendance;
- Additional Paper fee (if necessary).
- When the participant is successfully registered for the INTER-NOISE 2011 Congress, a confirmation e-mail will be sent automatically to the registered e-mail address.
- Once the participant obtains the log-in ID, payment of fees and Abstract/Paper submissions for the Congress proceedings are available via "My Page" on the website for INTER-NOISE 2011.
